Online OSHA 30-Hour for Construction (OSHA 30)

Class Description

This 30-hour construction safety course provides an in-depth view of the OSHA safety and health standards for the construction industry. Participants will learn about the rights and responsibilities of the employee and employer. A 30-hour OSHA certification card will be awarded upon successful completion of this course. OSHA 30 is required by the City of Philadelphia Licenses & Inspections Office, STRICT enforcement began on April 1, 2016

This training is being offered through Microsoft TEAMS, a video conferencing software. In order to participate in this class, you must have access to the internet and a device that supports Microsoft TEAMS, must have a webcam, and must participate in all sessions in order to get credit for class.

NOTE:
We are currently limiting in-person training due to the challenges the COVID19 virus presents keeping our staff and members healthy and safe.

This class is completely online (virtual) and led by our instructor staff utilizing  'Microsoft TEAMS'. OSHA 30 participants must be present, in the virtual classroom, for all classes at times scheduled. You can complete this training from home or any other place where you can be seated at a desk for note taking and devote your entire attention to the class, just as you would be sitting in the classroom at the school.

Each participant will need:
- Computer, Laptop, Tablet, iPad or similar device to log on.

- Access to the Internet (high speed connection preferred).

Within a few days of signing up for the class, you will receive an email with a username, password, and instructions on installing and activating Microsoft Teams.

  • #2 Pencil
  • Highlighter(s)
  • Pen and Notebook

Attendance Requirements

Attendance at the first training session is mandatory. 100% attendance is required for all courses that issue Certificates or Qualifications and Apprentice mandatory training. Please be on time! Late arrivals (and early departures) are disruptive to instructors and participants. Poor attendance / disruptive behavior will result in your being dropped from a particular training session.

Cancellation Policy

To maximize the effectiveness of our training sessions, we limit the number of attendees. If you are registered for a specific training and need to cancel, please notify us five (5) business days before the start of scheduled training. Failure to notify us of cancellation may result in your being denied registration for future training. We reserve the right to cancel any course - with two (2) business days’ notice - for which there is an insufficient number of registered attendees. Registrants may then enroll in the next available offering of the course, or cancel the registration.
