OUR MISSION STATEMENT
|
|
The
Training Center of the Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Committee of Philadelphia
and Vicinity exists to serve a number of purposes and a number of groups.
First, we want to ensure that the local Construction Industry has a steady
flow of highly-skilled Carpenters and experienced Supervisors.
Second, the Center aims to provide young men and women with the necessary
skills to stay current in the constantly changing Construction Market.
We do this through state-of-the-art and specialty training for all our
Trades, including Carpenters, Cabinetmakers, Floor Layers, Lathers, Millwrights,
and Wharf & Dock Builders. |
|
Third, we attempt to teach the necessary life-skills and work ethics needed
for young people to earn a decent living with fair wages, health benefits,
pensions, and annuities.
Finally, we are committed to supplying a workforce of the best trained
Apprentices, Journeypersons, Foremen and Superintendents for all our Union
Contractors and Associations in our eight-county area. |
