JAC will be accepting apprenticeship applications for:
Carpenter,
Mill/Cabinetmaker,
Millwright,
Wharf & Dock
Builder,
Resilient Floor
Layer,
Lather,
Drapery Worker
on the following
dates:
May 10, 13, 14,
15, 16, 17,
Saturday May
18, May 20, 21, 22
Applicants must
apply IN PERSON from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. only.
Applications will
not be accepted on May 23rd.
The test day is
Friday, May 24th, 2013.
The test time
will be given when you apply.

Training Facility, 10501 Decatur Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
A $35.00 non-refundable
administrative processing fee is payable with the application. Money
orders only - payable to Carpenters JAC. Cash or personal checks
will not be accepted.
Applicants must
be at least 17 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
(except 2013 graduates). Photo identification is required when applying
and when reporting for the qualifying test. A driver's license or
school I.D. is recommended. If you do not have photo ID, you must
supply a non-returnable recent photo plus another form of identification,
for example: a birth certificate or a Social Security card.
The test consists
of high school level math and math related to the carpentry trades including:
decimals, fractions, and geometry. You will have two hours to complete
the test. Please bring two sharp #2 pencils on test day. Calculators
are not permitted. All qualified applicants will remain eligible
for a three-year period. Proof of high school equivalency is required
after you have passed the qualifying test. Drug testing is a requirement
for entry and continued participation in the apprentice program.
Decatur Road is
located between Comly and Red Lion Roads behind the Northeast Airport.
